1zzfe toyota - det3 piggy back install

Post by jzouain » Sun Mar 11, 2018 4:23 pm

Morning,

I have a 1zzfe in a 2005 toyota corolla, normal A/FR was 16.3-16.6, im looking for increase the gas.
I have couple days trying install or finish the installation det3. i look in the electric diagram for my car the correct pinout for de factory ecu and wiring.
But the think i cant sync the ignition.

pin ecumaster
1 +12v
3 pullup 2k
5 bipolar ignition out to pin A27 ecu side.
8 pullup 2k
9 ignition in
11 GRND
15 maf sensor VG (sensor side)
17 vg maf sensor ecu side B24

igniton TYPE 36-2
VR

and i cant synk the ignition, somebody can help me?
i read the manual and the wiring one to. and i dont see any information about this engine. this one the mr2, and the celicas cames with
i take measure of the crankshaft position sensor this signal has 12 volt. i pullup to the ground with 2k resistor, the same config to the supra doesn't work either and i cant sync the ignition. the think is without the correct timing table i can adjust correctly the gas and is rich now.
another question, how can i use the frequency in/out ports.

all system is reading fine the ignition is the only one i have issues.

Theres not much to it, the settings for the trigger is a 36-2 with a VR sensor. The crank vr sensor shares the same ground as the cam sensor so leave that wire connected and uncut. Cut the other wire to the crank vr sensor and connect engine side of wire to ignition in, and then i'm fairly sure its the bipolar ignition out to the ecu side of the cut wire.
