Hello guys,

a friend wants to run the DET3 on his automatic single turbo 1JZ but we have a question about it.
Is it possible just to adjust the fuel mixture and let the ignition complete stock, so the OEM ECU will control it?
If yes, is it possible in piggyback and fuel implat mode too?

He wants to tune his car without ignition first and go to a tuner later...

Hi!

Yes it is possible. Morover you can cut ckp sensor cables and connect to DET3 leaving the whole table 0 that means no ignition modifications.

Do he has to cut the CPS wires or can we install it the normal way too?

If you just connect to cps signal you will be able to read RPM but you will not be able to alter ignition angle

He opened his engine because of rod knock.
Now he´s in a rebuilt process. :/
