SR20DE Ignition Advance/Retard Doubt

Post by kamikaz33 » Tue Jun 30, 2015 4:35 pm

Hello, on my Primera with SR20DE (Turbo converted), using DET3 Fuel Implant mode, Primary trigger is connected as Wiring diagrams suggest - Ignition Amplifier which only allows to retard ignition and not advance.

Problem is, on ignition Map, all the changes made, are done over what the Stock ECU is doing, so i have no clue of how much advance or retard the original ECU is giving but i know its not prepared to adjust timing for positive pressure (boost) since its not a SR20DET ECU.

Is there any other way to connect the trigger so the stock ECU doesnt change it and only the DET3 controls it or to know what Stock ECU is doing with ignition timing so we can count on how mch we need to retard ignition to the angle we want?

Was thinking if it was possible to use the CAS as trigger, its a 4 slit plate in distributor that reads the original engine speed or position before the original ECU adjust it. (0-5V Optical sensor).

Did anyone play with this issue on this engines?

thank you very much!
