Using pull up feature

Post by amg55 » Mon Oct 10, 2016 2:37 pm

Hi everybody,
I am about to wire in the DET3 to my Mazda 626 F2T, 2.2i turbo.
Im still not sure if i will use it as a piggyback controller or in FIT mode.
The Vane Air Flow meter on this car uses a strange signal.
At idle, the output voltage is 1.3v and at wide open throttle, its 7.8v.
I've read in the manual, max voltage input is 5v.
Im wondering whether it would be possible to use the 2k pull up feature for the VAF signal to use in piggyback mode?
Thanks

As it says in the manual, the DET will withstand voltages over 5V, but will only read them as far as 5V. So you'll lose all further reading of the signal as it passes 5V opening of the vane air flow meter.
In what manner would pulling the signal up help your cause? Just trying to understand how you're thinking.
