Toyota Glanz (starlet) turbo

Post by wereldbuddy » Fri May 06, 2016 1:44 pm

Hey Guys.

i am mounting a emu on a 1,3 glanza turbo and have trouble with getting the ignition working.
its a 4E-FTE EP91 ecu

problem is that it only has cam sensors, 1x a 24tooth wheel without missing tooth and 2 single tooth sensors 180 degrees from eachother

i selected the cam toothed wheel with aditional tooth and connected primary and secondary.

after some trouble i got a rpm signal and 2 cilinders sparking, only 1 and 4

when i let the coil cable spark my timing light reeds 4 times the crancing rpm so it has the right amount sparks but cilinder 2 and 3 seem to spark at the wrong angle.
i stil use the original distributor.

i also tried to connect the second cam signal but that doesn't work at all

can someone help me out?

HI
we done 2 of them and not a problem at all .
i suggest contact your local dealer for some help possible is wiring issue over there.
and also we had failure of one of the pickup on hot engine ( on stock engine working without any problems surprisingly we made plug and play adaptor for it).
make sure you use multitooth setup..
