What type of signal is the EMU Black looking for?

The Honda S2000 has a 3 wire VR VSS sensor. 5v, signal, and sensor ground.

I have it all hooked up and I just get jibberish when the car is moving and 0 with the car at a stand still. Doesn't matter what multipliers you use. If you use a filter of any kind I just get a reading of 0.

Thanks

If your sensor has 3wires , +5V, Signal and Ground ... its Hall sensor, not VR.
Some VR sensors has also 3 wires, but Signal, Ground, shield.

Wow, cant believe i wiffed that one.

Obviously a VR sensor doesnt have 5v going to it, as a magnetic sensor generates its own voltage.

NickBMW, mind sharing your settings?

Settings for a S2000 VSS:

Hall/Optical Sensor
Enable 1k Pullup
No Input Filter
Falling Trigger Edge
Divide by 16

This works with my car, however I have 3.63 gearing. You will need to adjust the frequency divider to calibrate for your own gearing.
