DBW and Vanos s54

What outputs are recommended to use for the 4x vanos soleionds on a S54, and what outputs can drive the DBW throttle ?

What outputs are recommended to use for the 4x vanos soleionds on a S54, and what outputs can drive the DBW throttle ?

For Vanos use the aux outputs including flyback diodes, but you still need to switch polarity on S54 engine actuator for Vanos.

S54 does not have classic DBW, but has some high current motor for ITB, and EMU does not switch so high current, so you cant use it directly on EMU.

well, i have just been told by my dealer that the emu black can drive s54 throttle. is this not correct?

S54 need an external driver for throttle due to high current. H bridges can drive vanos directly - there will be no needs for removing diodes from the unit.
