Ecu State at Cranking Problem

Post by VR6-Lumpi » Mon Mar 07, 2016 1:25 pm

Hello,
I have a problem at cranking.
When I start my car then comes the ECU State is inactive although rpm detected.
Sometimes the ecu State is cranking when I start the car.
Why the controller does not recognize it, I did start?

Here a log.
6:10 to 6:50 there is good to see.

Last year all was ok.
Then i`ve change my cams.
And this year the car start normal, but next day it dosn´t start ans make this Problem.

What can make this Problem?

Is it in full sequentiell mode or wasted spark. I would test wasted spark, because i think after your changes at the cams the secondary trigger is now between two cycles and switches around between the right one and the false one.

For first test you can move to wasted spark and if this works fine, you have to change the position of the secondary trigger!

Jan

Is it in full sequentiell mode.

I will check this in wasted spark and check the cam position.

In your config is the secondary trigger tooth on falling edge, you can also test it on rising edge.

This makes no difference.

With a clear emu file on the ecu it is working in cranking Mode.

In wasted spark mode it dosn`t work with my primary trigger Setup.

So here is the trigger scope.

I have check the cam position this is ok.
The hall sensor from cam is at the same position like before i change the cams.

When i start in wasted spark mode the ignition angle goes as i cranking mode but the injection time is 0ms and the injectors make once splash.

i found some faltly parameters. Under engine start, crancing threshold is 200 and has to be 400 and engine stall rev limit is 200 an has to be lower, try 60.

In your scope i can see, that your cabeling is wrong, you have to change the +/- of your primary trigger VR sensor.

The problem I have also just found.
What makes you think this is the VR sensor connected incorrectly?

Your engine stall revs are set to 200!!!
That is the reason. The EMU use this value to knows if the RPM are high enough to crank.
So you need over 200RPM to shift into cranking state.

Set this value to 50-60...

I can see it in your scope! The first signal after the gap has another time gap as the others.

The other problem is already solved.
Now is the first trigger ok.

Which setup for the second trigger is the right one?

The motor starts with rising and falling
