could it not be done by entering it as a 4/6cyl engine and using ignition offsets??

I was thinking about it ....
you can use 2 rotor like 4piston engine .... you will just use two coils like leading and second two like trailing. It has just one disadvantage, you will end with fixed distace between them, but it is possible. But you will need to change the timing Wheel on the crank, so you can fool the EMU that it has moved 3time arround and it will also think it is moving 3x faster then it actually does.....

So basicly it can be done, but with some issues.

Other idea is use it like 12 cilinder but spark it like

1event ... 1 cil leading
2event ... 1 cil trailing (with offset)
3event ... 2 cil leading
4event ... 2 cil trailing (with offset)
5event ... 1 cil leading
6event ... 1 cil trailing (with offset)
7event ... 2 cil leading
8event ... 2 cil trailing (with offset)
9event ... 1 cil leading
10event ... 1 cil trailing (with offset)
11event ... 2 cil leading
12event ... 2 cil trailing (with offset)

it will remain the RPMs correct and there will be no need to change the crank Wheel etc....

You have ideas from me so lets try this......... or what do you think Jadzwin or RHD ?
