Spikey afr reading

Post by PBU » Tue Dec 02, 2014 8:46 pm

I keep on getting very spikey afr readings but injector PW is rather steady ??
Engine is running not bad but not perfekt.
Using closed loop.

Should i change LSU4.2 settings or closed loop settings ?

Your engine is lean, especialy during transients.
It can't drive nice with such AFR

Transients condition during throttle opening. Look that spikes are when you move the throttle and acceleration enrichment appears.

Please send us this log file to tech(at)ecumaster.com

However try to reach the whole VE table (eg by 10%) for test.
The car should work much better

After some more testing and making the VE table richer and other things it is getting worse. :(
AFR gauge is jumping all over the place when cruising.
From 12-18AFR !!

Will try to post log this evening.

I wonder what can cause the AFR to jump so fast up and down when the car drives good and smooth ???
This is a brand new LSU 4.2 ( the 3th one )
Can you put a LSU in a place to cold, as it is in the bottom of the car. So getting a lot of cold air for the moment.

Can someone post a WBO log from a good AFR reading.

Make sure you don't mount the wideband sensor at such an angle that condensation/water can go in the sensor.

Almost vertical. ;)

Of course it's sitting very low but i assume you are talking about condensation on the interior.
