wiring up singlevanros and coils bmw

got the most things working now, but the coils. according to the manual the passive coils should have constant +12v, and connect the ground to the wires from the EMU; but bmw coils have 3 wires coming from them. Am i supposed to connect them to +12v, ground, and the emu (ignition)wire to the third wire on the coil?

also, for vans, i run a single vanos engine, what out/inputs should i use for the camshaft trigger and controlling of the solenoid. and what configurations.-

the engine is a 93 mod, m50tub25

Pin 1 to EMU Ignition #1 - #6
Pin 2 Ground
Pin 3 +12V
