Emu not stable volt reading from Ecu

Post by r20vt » Thu Jul 28, 2016 6:13 am

Hi I have 1jz with ecumaster and after building new wiring the Ecu is very good working with standard coils and low resistance fuel injectors I have no stable reading in voltage from the Ecu but the alternator is stable charging
Do you know what is happening it is possible that Ecu has problem

That is not abnormal, and remember your digital voltmeter probably has a built-in "buffer" to make it easier to read. Usually when I have an unstable Voltage reading at the EMU, it is due to either a wiring issue, or the alternator itself is just noisy. I had one alternator that was really noisy, and I spent hours trying to reduce the noise to no avail. I gave up on it and a few weeks later the alternator completely failed. I checked voltage after the alternator was replaced, and it was about as stable as I have seen.

if u get the power from a relay directly connected to the battery, your voltage readings will be perfect.
