Some VVT-I experiences?

Post by sulik » Mon Jan 19, 2015 3:25 pm

Hello guys,

does anyone has worked with the EMU on VVT-I engines, like the 2JZ or 1JZ maybe?
Is it right that it can control fully the VVT-I?

I´m not sure if i should go with a VVT-I head on my 1J....

Thanks for any response guys. :)

bye
Alex

Works great on 2JZ-GTE VVTi ..... i made one car on it, and also great work on BMW M3 double vanos engine, also no problem on variable cam on SR20DET (but this is just switch on/off)

VVTI , Vanos, Mivec, V-Tec and all other cam control system are great. You can gain the "width" of powerband.
Comparing EVO8 and EVO9 engine ? Its 800 to nearly 1000RPM on spool of the turbo.

So if you can use it, than i will advice use it. Somebody does not like the VVTi units just because he cant manage it or is unable to buy parts like cams, headers for it......

Kia picanto VVT also works great :D
Honda's i-vtec no problem

Generally all types of VVT works without any problem.
