Some simple features that would make the ecu massively better, i have already mentioned the first one in the past.

1. Add one more sensor table called ambient/airbox temp, and give the option to blend the chargetemp between clt/iat OR airbox/iat. This would greatly stabilize the lambda in most applications.

2. "smart idle pid". Program the pid to activate only when rpm has reached withing an adjustable thresold from the target rpm. For example 100rpm. This would be a massive improvement too.

Is there a bug during connection? I had my engine shut down 2 times while opening the software (client)

Is it possible to expand the EMU Black Firmware for using of the both H-Bridges for two throttle bodies? I would like to use original BMW M70 throttle bodies on my V12 without the original BMW EML ECU.

Thx

The BMW ITB throttle cannot be controled using EMU BLACK H-Bridge at all. The current requirements are at least twice hiigher than peak current of black H-Bridges (they are capable to provide up to 7Amps each).

Did you notice such behaviour on previous firmware versions ?
In 2.027 there are some changes in USB communication. Did you hear buzzer when the engine stall ? (ECU reset) ?

I have the Black only 10 days and i upgraded right away to the latest fw, i don't remember if i used any previous version. I think i didn't hear the buzzer though, i do hear it everytime i turn on the ignition as i have it enabled. I also had something else happen once but i am not sure if it's an error or it's because of my trigger sensitivity settings, i was sitting in a traffic light waiting without touching anything, and it almost stalled and then raised rpm again. This happened only once in the 10 days (aprox) i am driving with the Black on.

Jakub; This mentioned BMW M70 V12 engine has one single blade E-throttle per bank, one for left hand side and one for right hand side. These are not like the later model ITBs with multiple throttle blades.
Does your answer still stand?

I understand. However still it is not possible to add second DBW due to the lack of resources.

For V12 it would be good idea to use 2 blacks :) Ray Hall is going to do it this way.

Okay, understood. Tuning two ECUs in one engine would be fun! One bank (and ECU) at first, while leaving the other bank dry not injecting fuel at all, and then tune the second bank. :D I might try that with my BMW 850i one day...

I think you should also remove spark plugs on second bank :)

But then you have two dbw, two lambdas, fully sequentional ignition / fuel and so on.

Some OEM V10 and V12 cars were made like this.

I'll just try again.
Do you have plans to in the future to support automatic transmission?
So ecumaster controls shift due two load etc.

Need PWM Cooling Fan Control!
I wish the ECU could control one or two engine cooling PWM fan in closed loop PID manner.
I mean a PWM control signal not pwm powered AC fan.
The fans from merc-benz, bmw, audi etc...usually 600 watts even 900watts, they blow huge amount of air, which is ideal for drift ,sand driving.
I am currently using a Benz 850watt fan.But I cannot perfectly control it depends on engine temp..
I have seen some video demo using vipec or link G4 ecu to control these fans.
It is really nice to have a PID fan controller in the ECU.
THANKS!

There aren't enough available channels on the current ECUs to support trans control. The plan is to offer that feature with EMU Pro, but there's no release date yet for that product.

Any updates to this issue? I have installed the driver, but didn't help.
