Any MINI R53 users?
I have one for my MINI project call "Project Kobalt" for MC2 magazine. I am curious to see if there are any users to get feedback. I am also the founder of "The League of Extraordinary Miniacs" Facebook group with 20k members worldwide and spread among 28 chapters as well as the main group with 16k+ members. https://www.facebook.com/groups/LXMINIacs/

We are a user of Mini cooper S R53
We are using Mini in track days, and of course, engine is controlled by EMU.

Re: Any MINI R53 users?
I mounted mine right next to the factory ecu location, and installed the CAN-BUS adapter inside the ecu box that I cut apart from the factory airbox.
Re: Any MINI R53 users?
My adapter board is in the stock ecu location and the standalone is on top of the fusebox on a custom bracket. Any ideas how to turn off the tyre pressure warning light and also the traction control light?
Re: Any MINI R53 users?
I don't think it's possible to turn them off just yet. The traction control switch would normally control the light on/off, so I would assume it would require additional code change to "switch" a traction map on and off like the oem ecu did. The pressure warning I thought was originally through a different module, but apparently not. Maybe a future update can address them, or figure some sort of CAN output to at least turn the lights off.
Re: Any MINI R53 users?
This would be very useful in the UK as I don't believe cars will pass annual inspection with the lights illuinated
Re: Any MINI R53 users?
When we have access to stock Mini R53, we will try to reverse CAN to light off TCS and Tire Pressure
Re: Any MINI R53 users?
I have the bluetooth module. Do you have any recommendations for the best location to tap into the CAN-BUS wiring? Am I right in thinking I won't need to use a 120ohm resistor if I don't create a new node?
Edit.....no resistor required
