Strange bug- Client mode - stepper motor idling issues

Post by Supercharged » Fri Jun 23, 2017 8:08 pm

Since the bug thread is locked i am posting one strange issue i am facing. I have bought a new DET3 device and connected it to my Fiat 1.6 Magnetti Marelli ECU as per the given wiring diagrams.

1. Map sensor in goes to Analog #1
2. Analog out pin 17 goes to my stock ECU Map signal pin
3. Crank sensor is perfectly connected to

The table set up is also perfectly done as Configuration #1 mentioned in DET wiring diagrams pdf

1. Fuel table - Modify Analog #1 (which is my map sensor) , Load Analog #4 (which is my TPS sensor) - corrections diasbled
2. Ignition table - Load Analog #4 (which is my TPS sensor) - corrections disabled

When i start my car the stepper motor keep revving the engine from 2000-3500 and back to 2000 in cyclic way. When i now press the accelerator things become normal and the car maintains perfect idle of 840 rpms and also drives perfectly.

Again when i switch off my car and start it , the car perfectly starts and idles at 840 rpms. The above bug doesnt occur.
Again next time when i switch off and start the car the same bug occurs and engine keeps revving. The stepper motor or the idle control motor keep fluctuating

I have tried putting a start up voltage in analog out configuration too. Still this bug continues.

I am very much sure this is an issue with DET3 because when i directly connect the Analog 1 wire to Analog out wires , i.e bypassing DET3 and connecting MAP wire there is absolutely no issue and car idles perfectly.

Can someone from the expert team or the DET team help me with this bug, i have tried all firmware upgrades, and this happens in all versions

Finally after no support from the ECU master team or on the forum i found out what causes this. ECU master team should be able to fix this bug.

The problem is DET3 shuts down sooner than the OEM ecu which sends out a 0 volt to OEM ecu through the Analog out. This causes atmospheric pressure signal issue and the OEM registers it as 500 millibar. Due to this the stepper motor opens up to 125 steps and on next start the idling becomes wrong.

I have now disconnect 12v from the original ECU to the DET3 and directly connected it to the battery. So now the DET3 stays on and the original ecu shuts down by registering right atmos pressure of 948 millibar.

After all this i am thinking whether i made a mistake by buying the DET3, the support team does not respond at all. I have emailed the sellers as well as Info@ecumaster.com as well as tech@ecumaster.com , no one bothers to even acknowledge the email.

Can someone tell me how does the ECU MASTER support really work? whom do i write to and what is the SLA
