There is a Bug in the windows client, everytime I want to close it, the dialog box asks if I want to exit. After clicking yes, all open windows reload and the client is in the state as before clicking the X-Button (or pressing alt+F4 or alt+x). Even unsaved changes stay. really strange.
Windows 8.1, Asus eee 1215n 4gb ram

kind regards

i think it is necessary to add info about version of software you are using and other useful info will be driver version and type of graphic chipset

the last emu.exe (1.102 exp1) won't start on winXP anymore. (No win32-App message)
I think there are a few compiler flags missing/wrong

In version 1.100 does not function "Fuel cut under pressure", function "Fuel cut above pressure" is functional.

I've checked this on simulator and everything works as expected.

Remember that fuel cut under pressure works above Fuel cut above rpm

Can you send a screen with the fuel cut configuration ?

Apologies for a feature request as part of my first post here...
I recently installed and tuned my first EMU down here in New Zealand. I very much like it and will certainly be recommending them to more of my club level customers.
One thing that I miss however compared to other ECU's that I install is ECU (internal) logging, I find especially with rally cars it is very nice to have continuous logging running so that you have some data to base decisions on after a mid stage engine failure or misfire etc. I know EMU doesn't have the hardware to allow internal logging however I thought with some minimal software changes you could get a low cost external device to do the logging. One such option might be this for instance: http://www.zeitronix.com/Products/Black ... gger.shtml (read the paragraph near the bottom of the page about 3rd party support) It seems this device is quite generic and would just record the raw serial data stream coming out of EMU, it may then only require a small change or an extra plugin in your software to allow conversion/reading of the recorded data? For $100 it might be a nice solution.
There are others too such as innovates pocket logger but that would be a bit more locked down in terms of logging rate and serial format etc. Or a generic CAN logger like Tactrix 2.0 might be another option...

So, does this sound like something feasible that could be implemented in the future? I do realise there are already logging options available such as various dashes and standalone loggers but for my club level customers I think I would have a better chance of convincing them to buy your ECU if a low cost logging solution was available.

Sorry if this has already been discussed before - I did do a thorough search and didn't find much.

I thought the "Fuel cut TPS limit" relates only to the "Fuel resume below RPM" and the "Fuel cut abowe RPM". The "Fuel cut above pressure" works independently on the the "Fuel cut TPS limit". In this case it is not an error, but a feature. Thank you for your explanation.

AdamW you have several option to make data log.

First of all you can use CAN data logger and connect them to EMU (via CAN module or using EMU CAN).
You can also use RaceTechnology dataloger that you can connect directly to EMU extension port.

Next option that will be available in next weeks (and it is very affordable) will be our Adnroid Dashboard. The data stream send via BT module will be recorded to file. So you can use even cheap android phone as a dataloger device.
External team is working on the Adnroid application and I hope they hit the deadline :)
I will keep posted about this application.

Jadzwin, thanks for your comments, unfortunately the options you mentioned are not suitable for the typical customer that I would use this ECU with, which is why I was looking at the other more basic datastream recording type devices. For many of my customers a Racetechnology set up is just too expensive - the most basic version actually ends up costing more than your ECU here. The Android solution is ok for a 'street racer' but not really a proper race car. Some of my road car customers may go that way but A rally driver does not want to mess around booting up and fumbling with a cell phone to start logging etc at every special stage. What I need for these is something that just records anytime the ignition is on.
I dont see any reason why the Zeitronix device wont work so I'm going to order one with the correct baud rate and see how it works. It would have been nice to one day have your software read the recorded data but for now I will just write a script to convert the recorded data into a .CSV format that can be read by one of the other data aqc softwares that I have.
Thanks for listening anyhow. Looking forward to my next EMU install.

Hi,
I started up my computer and connected the emu device while booting. Then I tried to run the EMU Software (1.102 EXP), however it failed. Windows put out a bug report "ecumaster emu won´t work anymore..." no error code or anything else. I tried to reinstall the Software several times (also proven working older Versions) and the driver too, rebooted many times, put out the battery etc. . Always the same report. I have no Idea what to do. Reinstall Windows?

BTW System Information:
+ Win 8.1
+ Asus eee 1215n
+ Intel GMA 3150 Graphics
+ Intel Atom D525 CPU

ECU Works great with different Laptop.

Kind regards Clem

AdamW: The logging serial protocol from extension port will work for sure. There is Ecumaster serial protocol that exports lots of data. If you need we can help you to decode the datastream (eg. to CVS file).

possible bug in 3wire PWM idle controll

Post by RHD » Mon Mar 09, 2015 3:10 pm

Hi I just found a possible problem with the 3 wire PWM idle control, Its a previous customers ecu updated to FW1.100 and installed to a new engine. I am using Aux 2&3 with diods installed. I can get each AUX to independently put out a signal from the PWM table but once they are both assigned to the idle control only one AUX will put out a signal. If either one is removed from the idle table then the other one works again.

As I run in trouble with pneumatic Wastegate Actuator, I want to use an electric one. More specifically, a Robot Servo which is PWM controlled at 333 Hz.
So my Request: Is it possible to raise the boost control PWM Frequenzy up to 333Hz for future Software Version?
Also utilizing Traction Control by controlling the boost would be very useful I think!

Thanks in Advance.

Thanks Jakub

The quick way i tested was using low frequency and test light on the OP. When I assign each OP to the universal PWM table it works and the light flashes

When i have just one OP assigned to the 3wire Idle settings it will work but only if the other OP is set to *None* This is the same for each OP

When i assign both OP to the 3 wire idle valve settings then only one has working signal and the other one stops working.

I have no spare OP's on this engine so i couldnt try swapping the actual pins to another one.

For 3 wire pwm only one output will work at the moment.
So for DC 50%+ one output will work, for DC lower that 50% the second output is used...

ok is this the same for previous versions? I have used 3wire PWM previously and seems to work, although it is very hard to stabilize.

I thought the valve needs the DC to oscillate between the two signal wires so the DC's are 60-40 or 30-70 etc

This valve does not seem to work with only one OP signal, possibly the valve itself is faulty.

thanks

It was changed in version 1.005. Actually there is a bug when the DC was about 49-51% but today I will publish version 1.110 with this issue fixed
