Hello
I want to use an EMU to run a Jaguar V12 and as the ECU only has 6 channels for ignition is it possible to trigger two coils from one channel ?
Obviously there are current limits when using the internal drivers so I guess using coil packs with inbuilt drivers is best
Thanks
Coils for V12
Re: Coils for V12
if you use a twin fire type of coil should be fine
something like these below, lots of little cars use this type as an oem coil, older Hyundai etc
otherwise LS1 coils are good and reliable with built in igniters so can run as many as you want of one driver.

Re: Coils for V12
Customers that connect EMU to V8 BMW connects 2 passive coils to one ignition output and everything works great.
So if your OEM coils are passive I would follow this solution.

Re: Coils for V12
I thought it might be OK to wire 2 coils . i was thinking about using a VR6 coil pack with built in amps
Seems a bit bulky but the connector looks like a regular minitimer 5 way. Any other OEM coils out there like this ?

Thanks
