hi just have a super noob question about the wiring .
i do see the numbers on the plugs that need wiring but i do remember when i first got the ecu about 6 months ago i was playing and took the yellow bits out for a look , i just want to make 100% sure which is No 1 pin .
is No 1 on the left looking at the ecu plugs ( male side ) with the vac pipe connector inbetween or is No 1 on the left looking at the female side of the plugs that are to be wired .
tbh as i write this i just looked and both yellow plastic bits are the same so it shouldnt matter but i will still ask as the picture on the sheet does look like the ecu .
cheers
Plug wiring
Re: Plug wiring
ok just double checked the manual and the pic in there says device view which puts No1 top left as you look at the ecu .
the plugs themselves have a No1 which would end up top right .
i also noticed in an earlier thread about the plug and play adapter that he also had No1 at the top right position .. hmmm

Re: Plug wiring
they way i like to keep from installing them upside down is keep the two purple sliding lock tabs on the outside of the plugs (point away from each other) Keep the grey black plugs in the order as per the card view. Then push in the wires into the back of the plug as per the view on the card.
Re: Plug wiring
thank for the reply . but im still not 100% enough to plug it in , i have built up the plugs but i just got something in my head that needs answering .
is the card view the ECU ( which btw if yo go by the lugs is most definately is ) or is it the view of plugs facing you , IE wires go behind .
and do you take any notice of the numbers on the yellow tabs on the plugs ?
OK sorted now , basically i ignor the numbers on the plugs and the card view is the ecu as i thought
