mr2 3sgte tuned help
so i just got back from portland got my car tuned at psi, so we tuned for 91 at 18lbs made xxx hp and tuned e85 made xxx hp, but one thing the tuner noticed was the maps weren't blending so the boost pressure wouldn't change at all so if i put all e85 and it was at 27psi perfect, but if i went to put 91 and start mixing the fuels the boost would stay at 27psi?? at the moment i can only run e85 since its tuned for 27psi, it doesnt adjust the boost pressure as needed. help!, hopefully its something small or a bug? i also uploaded the map.

Re: mr2 3sgte tuned help
You need to set up Table switch as FlexFuel Blend (Other / Table switch)
Re: mr2 3sgte tuned help
That's all that needed to be done? So everything else looks good in the map and correctly? I switched it to flex fuel blend in table switch, so will I be able to start pumping e85 and 91 now? And the ecu will see it and adjust boost?
Re: mr2 3sgte tuned help
I switched it to flex fuel blend and afr go leaner and idle starts bouncing?
Re: mr2 3sgte tuned help
Because now it starts to blend between tables.
Is your FF sensor is connected ok and shows correct ethanol content ?

Re: mr2 3sgte tuned help
Yea when I put straight e85 it gets 65-70% ethanol but wen I go to codes it says ff sensor? It's on and working correctly not sure why it throws a code for it. So I can just keep that take active and run both 91 and e85 now, even though it gets up to 17afr?
Re: mr2 3sgte tuned help
You need to look at lambda not AFR.
AFR for pump gas and E85 is different.
For lambda 1.0 and any fuel the mixture is stoichiometric.
For E85 the max power you can get between Lambda 0.715 (max rich) to 0.865 (max lean)
For gasoline it is between 0.85 (max rich) to 0.9(max lean)
All other ethanol content is simple interpolation between these values.
