2jz supra fuel pump activation

Post by RHD » Thu Oct 01, 2015 12:01 pm

When using the factory loom how do we activate the fuel pump controller??

There are 2 wires to the factory ecu labeled DI-pin 21 and FPC-pin 22, Which one to use and what signal does it require?

thanks

I dont remember the pins, but the stock Supra has "pump" controler. Its load depending and at light load gets the pump just cca 9V , and high load it gets the full 12V. So lets try, or disable this "pump controler" completly.

Correct,

Best thing to do is run new wires to the pump. Neither one of those will kick over a relay.

ok thanks... did a bit figuring out and came up with an easy fix!

There are 2 control wires in the harness from the controller to the factory ecu so i just connected one of them to AUX1 O/P, I then ripped out the controller in the rear quarter panel and replaced it with a relay using the wire i connected at the other end to activate it... job done :) no new wires or anything required

very easy to figure out, the controller plug has 2 big fat wires that run the pump and the two that go back to the ecu plugs one of which i used for the relay signal wire.
