I have a PRV 3 litre 12 valve V6 from a 1997 renault laguna in a peugeot 505. I have 60-2 flex plate with hall sensor and single tooth wheel with hall sensor on camshaft. I am initially going to get it running on LPG (propane) with an Impco mixer and vaporiser and going to connect injectors later. When attempting to start have spark while cranking and as engine fires spark stops and i get an intermittent TRIGGER ERROR PRIMARY message as the engine attempts to start. Can anyone tell me what is likely to be causing this and what the remedy is? thanks for any help you can give me.
Chris.
Update
I have removed primary hall sensor and replaced with VR sensor and car now starts and runs. Was very rough and erratic at low revs and would not idle, so I set cam sensor to off above 600 RPM and much improved. Is cam sensor only required for starting? I have no idea why replacing hall sensor with VR would fix primary signal problem.
trigger error primary
Re: trigger error primary
There could be two reasons:
1) You selected inproper signal edge for HALL sensor
2) The signal from HALL sensor was noisy.
If you post here EMU scope file I will be able to check if the configuration of trigger edge is correct.

Re: trigger error primary
Thanks. Here is scope file. I did try different edge settings for both crank and cam sensors. It runs fine now I have fitted VR sensor as crank sensor and disabled cam sensor above 600 rpm.

Re: trigger error primary
The trigger edge for primary is correct.
Re: trigger error primary
Thank you for confirming that.Jadzwin wrote:The trigger edge for primary is correct.
