ive been working with Zach, trying to get the car to work.
Laptop connects
Cam sync is successful
emu status changes to "cranking"
RPM shows 200+ while cranking on the analog input window
Primary and cam sync scope is correct.
Displacement and injectors are still set to 3000cc and 440cc [this might need changed; actual motor is 2500cc and injectors are operating at 50psi base]
Injectors are firing
but I have zero voltage at the coil packs while cranking.
The ignition order is leading with cyl 3 and is still as the base file was calibrated.
I tried to follow the initial startup PDF and got as far as confirming proper scope but I have not made it beyond this point since I cant confirm voltage at the coil packs. are there any other things I have to change or check that would prevent successful spark events?
1jzgte/440cc on 2jzgte/440cc map, no spark, stalling [fixed]

Re: 1jzgte with 440cc on 2jzgte/440cc map, no spark
Are running a VVTi engine or no?
Did it start prior?

Re: 1jzgte with 440cc on 2jzgte/440cc map, no spark
how are coils wired in? are you using factory igniter or direct to EMU?
coils should have permanent independent 12v power supply at all times, emu controls the -ve either directly or through the igniter. Check you have got the outputs assigned to the correct engine stroke or start by assigning them in the wast spark configuration.

Re: 1jzgte with 440cc on 2jzgte/440cc map, no spark
non vvti motor
it is already a running and driving car. I just changed over from aristo ecu with map-ecu1 which already made 435/405 to the rear wheels and daily driving.
Zach already assigned the correct firing order leading off with number 3.
coil dwell wizard is set to double coil 3x 35mj.
they are factory coils with the factory igniter still. nothing was changed from the stock ecu setup.
Edit: got it started. I disabled injector pulse and enabled batch fire on the start up menu. It fired up. Starts, revs and drives. I can't get it to idle however.
I was trying to make fuel adjustments but the afr wasn't changing. I was using + to raise the ve cells but didn't see any changes in afr.
I assume I need to make some changes to my idle parameters. The 2d tables "look" right.

Re: 1jzgte with 440cc on 2jzgte/440cc map, no spark
I got it all operational.
The one thing that made the go from no idle to yes idle, was changing idle steps from 136 to 150 steps.
Actual idle rpm is right at target idle.
Still set to unipolar stepper.
Minimum idle dc is 10% but I don't think that has anything to do with a stepper

Re: 1jzgte with 440cc on 2jzgte/440cc map, no spark
Very nice glad you got it figured out. I just finished up wiring up my harness for my RB20.
Re: 1jzgte with 440cc on 2jzgte/440cc map, no spark
It's acting up again.
Only way it'll stay running is if I reverse the stepper. But then it just surges. I can hear it sucking a lot of air thru my isc pipe. So I KNOW the isc is capable of opening far enough to idle up to 2000rpm. But I can't get it to do it if the "reverse" is unchecked.
With it idling the first time, I was able to rev it and it would catch itself, and then it just died after a short period of time.
Edit;
Ok I'm getting annoyed. I can get it to idle with the stepper reversed or standard. I can get it to hit target idle. I'll go drive it for a few min and then it will start dying every time I drop throttle. I don't understand what the problem is. Also, even when it is idling on its own, slipping the clutch and causing the rpms to drop to around 800 makes it die every single time. I don't get why it won't stay running below 800rpm.
My engine cut parameter is as low as possible at "60"
