Citroen/Peugeot V6 trigger setup (base)

Post by BigTallPaul » Sat Nov 14, 2015 2:49 am

Hi Guys. I'm almost ready to install the EMU into my track car.

The car has a 3L V6 (ES9J4 / XFZ) Engine out of a Peugeot 406 V6 Coupe which uses the Bosch 60-2 setup.
I'm happy to setup wasted spark and fuel but am unsure about Primary trigger for Ignition. :?:

Can anyone tell me the following:
First trigger tooth
Trigger Angle

Thanks in advance,

Paul

trial and error is usually the easiest way and only takes a few minutes.

If you only have 1 tooth on the cam sensor then you will be able to get it started by trying different ignition offset numbers then just, play with the first tooth number till it runs best and fine tune it with a timing light. I usually start with angle 60 and tooth 5 or so thats often somewhere close.

if your cam has multiple teeth then you will need to take a scope with both triggers rising and both triggers falling and post it up on here someone will help you with correct settings to make it syncronize, after that you will still need to do as above to find the right trigger tooth and offset.
