scale down injector size ?
on my build im running out of injectors .
is there a easy way to use the tuner 3 to scale down the injectorsize so i could run bigger injectors?

Re: scale down injector size ?
What Firmware You are using ? Is DET3 connected as a piggyback or fuel implant ?
Re: scale down injector size ?
piggyback /2.5bar internal map
alter mapsignal to oem ecu
and a run oem cranksensor true the ecumaster so i canm alter ignition

Re: scale down injector size ?
It depends how much bigger will be injectors and on ECU. For 30-40% bigger injectors usually there is no problem.
Re: scale down injector size ?
now run 42lbs aprox 440cc next step would prob be 50lbs 525cc or 60lb 630cc
but alter map would mess up the ingition setting

Re: scale down injector size ?
Yes, the ignition angle will change. But you can alter it using ignition table.
Maybe better solution for you will be Fuel Implant mode ?

Re: scale down injector size ?
yes maybe its time for a standalone ecu ,right now i´m maxout the mapsignal at 0,8bar
i should see if i could download some loggs

Re: scale down injector size ?
In what engine are You using it ? In almost all engines group Fuel implant in DET can be use (Injectors are controlled from DET3 using speed density or alpha-n algorithm with all corrections that are needed). In FIT mode You don't use MAF/MAP signal for proper mixture, so You don't mess ignition.Tobbe1 wrote:yes maybe its time for a standalone ecu ,right now i´m maxout the mapsignal at 0,8bar

From my experience i use FIT instead piggy back mode wherever i can. Setting up fuel map take much longer, but solves all problem with bigger injectors issues on stock ECU (start up, warming up, close loop with stock narrow band O2 sensor).
Re: scale down injector size ?
its a dodge -99 jtec/ecu v8 /procharger
the oem ecu is for the transmisson and engine
there is a new sofware in the oem ecu to run boost/bigger injectors but i use the ecumaster for fine tuning.
email sofware from US is to time comsuming
best so far is 7.53 sec on the 1/8
its still 2000kg+ truck
so i can run everything exept the injectors on oem ecu ,and the injectors whit the tuner3 ?

Re: scale down injector size ?
ok i should sit down and read the fuel implant manualKisielisodd wrote:In what engine are You using it ? how long is the setup to make the engine run so i could tune it ? ,i dont have any basemap
Re: scale down injector size ?
Using piggyback mode, is this still true IF ignition can't be altered via ignition table?Jadzwin wrote:It depends how much bigger will be injectors and on ECU. For 30-40% bigger injectors usually there is no problem.
Re: scale down injector size ?
i run it like a piggback ,i can change ignition up/down but i´m only alter the ign setting the oem ecu setsDoable wrote:Using piggyback mode, is this still true IF ignition can't be altered via ignition table?Jadzwin wrote:It depends how much bigger will be injectors and on ECU. like a say in the tread , i´m also alter mapsignal and that change ign to ....

Re: scale down injector size ?
thank you tobbe1 for the thread and thank you jadzwin for the answerJadzwin wrote:It depends how much bigger will be injectors and on ECU. For 30-40% bigger injectors usually there is no problem.
i work on mr2's.. most of are setups run 440cc injectors.. if i am able to run a injector that is 30% - 40% bigger.. (572cc - 616cc) injectors.. this is wonderful.
the reason i want to run the det3 as a piggy back, it leaves the 2 pwm outputs avaiable for nitrous control or meth injection control. one of the pwm outputs is parametric(progressive)..
the common upgrade for revision 2 mr2's with the 3sgte engine(stock 440cc injectors) is running rev3 mr2(540cc injectors) or supra purple top(550cc) injectors.
the det3 is AWESOME, i can keep it simple and run it piggy back mode and have the 2 pwm outputs open...
this flexibility allows me to offer more tunes across various turbo setups...
i love ECUMASTER

hi ,could you tell me more how you scale down the injectors ,i fiddle whit mapsignal and that change ignition to ...
