1JZ Startup Issue

Post by saz_pwr » Wed Feb 10, 2016 7:56 pm

Hi, I have used the base Map from here, Car is 1JZ Non vvti running Coil over Plug, and 800cc Bosch EV14 injectors.

Wiring is:
Injector 1 to injector 1 on ecu
Injector 2 to injector 2 on ecu etc...

coil 1 to coil 1 on ecu
coil 2 to coil 2 on ecu etc...

Firing coil order is 153624 is that correct?
Injector order is 153624 also?

I am using the rear cam sensor, and it is syncing fine.

any ideas? car is not firing up

Also any idea of what injector type setting I should be using?

If you're using the rear cam sensor, your firing order needs to be 624153

You also need to check ignition timing with a timing light. If the car isn't starting, aim the timing light at the cam gear to verify that it's firing when the timing mark on the cam gear is at 12 o'clock. If it's firing when the cam gear mark is at 6 o'clock then your timing is 360 degrees out (which is what the case is right now). After it's running, lock timing and check it with the light to ensure that it's set correctly.

actually i think if you are using the rear cam sensor you will find the firing order is 536241 (and front sensor is 241536)
