1JZ Rough Knock Signal

Post by fataznwithcake » Tue Aug 22, 2017 3:59 am

Does anyone have any advice on how to smooth out the knock sensor value? Or does anyone have better knock sensor parameters for a non-vvti 1JZ?

With it bouncing around so much it's hard to set the engine noise level so that the EMU doesn't retard timing and add fuel without real knock.

Screen shot of the graph and knock sensor parameters and sampling settings are below.

You don't want to have a smooth response for your knock... ;)

Decrease your Integrator and your gain.
Sensor value should be under 2,5V without knock.
The integrator should be between 100 and 200usec as stated in the manual.
