boost correction timer operation

Post by chris72 » Sun Jun 21, 2015 12:08 am

Hi
probably a question for Jakub

quick question about the boost correction timer
at the moment i have timer set for correcting boost from 25% to 100 % over 5 seconds. the question is what happens before and after the timer function ?
The bike is only used for drag racing and i need approx 25% of full boost at launch (100% throttle) ramping up to between 250 and 350 Kpa depending on track conditions.
i use VSS boost scaling of 25% at zero speed to set correct pressure during launch control after this VSS table is set to 100% of target boost i assume the timer function will overide this value while it is operating then at the end of timer return to VSS correction.
is this correct before i try it out on the bike :-)

If timer is not active the tables don't influence enything.
E.g.:

Your Virtual output is set for VSS > 1 km/h and this trigger the timer.

So until this condition is not true (the car do not move) the timer boost correction table is not used.

The car start and the timer start to count. The table is used for boost correction. When the time is greater than your max time value on x axis the value from the last cell will be used.

Hi

many thanks, i assumed this is how it would work just thought i would check first.
could you add a feature to set target boost during launch control active ? at the moment i set this as a percentage of maximum boost. This means i have to remember to correct this as i increase maximum boost as the chassis setup improves

thanks
