Is the F4i EFI when it was stock? I was always under the impression they were carbed until recently.

EFI was introduced in Honda CBR600F from 2001.
Engine was almost the same between carburated F4 (1999-2000) and F4 with EFI. In my opinion carburated version was little more powerful that EFI, better rev`ing.

Indestructible engine, bulletproof unit! :)

Its get lots of harsh treatment and it always works.

I would like to start using EMU in my bike, but now i have a problem with intake valve seals, I need go get valve seat cutters to do valve job right. I can't find anyone in my city who can do it for me, so I have learn how to do it :) and its already take one cylinder head to bin... I will see how the next one will work.

Current status of intake valve:
