BMW B58TU Gen 2 Engine


This configuration applies only to the B58TU Gen 2 engine itself and does not include any vehicle-specific settings.
Be sure to configure all additional components such as the low-pressure fuel pump, cooling fans, starter, and other auxiliary systems.

The attached map controls the following:
– GDI injectors
– GDI high-pressure fuel pump
– Alternator control using a LIN signal
– Closed-loop of the oil pressure
– Electronic throttle
– Knock control
– Fuel rail pressure sensor with SENT protocol
– VVT solenoid control
– Electronic thermostat closed-loop temperature target

Inputs and outputs assignment

These baseline maps provide a starting point for tuning and are designed for specific engines. They are not guaranteed to work correctly out of the box and may require adjustments to fit your particular setup. Always treat these maps as a foundation to build upon and make further refinements as needed.

It is critical to verify all assigned outputs and ensure they match your wiring. In the software, go to “Tools / Assigned outputs” and “Tools / Assigned inputs”. If the assignments do not match, do not load the map to your ECU. Adjust the outputs as necessary before proceeding.

This base map requires EMU PRO version 226.0.

The map was calibrated on a dynamometer:
– Torque: 420 Nm
– Boost pressure: 50 kPa (0.5 bar)

Non-mapped or unsupported features:
– Valvetronic control is not supported and requires a fixed lock at the maximum intake valves opening.
